intellectual formation

The education of the intelligence is very important in order to reach maturity. Quoting Don Bosco, we could say that "the purpose of intellectual formation is to enable the pupil to observe, reflect, judge and reason correctly.”

  • GOOD MORNINGS

Following in the tradition of Saint John Bosco, we employ the use of the “Good Morning”, a short thought or story to encourage, correct or orient the school culture.

In the Saint’s own words, "Take care to make the most of what has happened in school or elsewhere, but do not speak for more than two or three minutes. This is the key to morality, to good progress, to the success of education. Just a few words; a single idea of importance that will make an impression (...) By this means, the root of all problems can be uprooted before they are born".

  • CULTURAL OUTINGS

The objective of these trips is to awaken the cultural, scientific and artistic interest of our students, as they come into contact with the great works of art, history, architecture and various aspects of human knowledge.

In addition to having as specific objectives: to raise the academic level by making contact in situ, to know the history and geography of one's own nation, to make contact with scientific and technological advances, to value the great works of music, visual and architectural art, to strengthen the bonds between classmates and to form the soul in healthy and fruitful joy.

  • FINE ARTS AND THEATER

The acquisition of artistic skills is oriented to the flourishing of our students, through an integral education that contemplates their natural inclinations and gifts.

Intellectual education requires the complement of the arts in order to achieve an aesthetic education. Art is an expression of the higher powers of man, since it not only transmits sensory harmonies, but also the sense of the profound truths that it should radiate. The development of such workshops as theater, choir, manual arts, literary arts, etc. allows them to develop their full potential.

We aspire to form young people "for our time". That is, young people who will ensure the presence of Christian thought in the world. Capable of discerning good and evil, of making free and just choices, of defending the truth and detesting error. Young people with strong characters, capable of refusing the danger of contemporary consumerism.
